Mirror Villas are small, self-contained glass cabins set apart across open country near Vakarel, just 30 minutes from Sofia. Their mirrored walls hold the grass, the hedgerow and the far line of the mountains — so each villa all but disappears into its own piece of countryside. Inside, everything turns warm and quiet. There is no neighbour to share with — just the two of you, and the field.

From the bed you see nothing but grass and the ridge of the mountains. At night the fire pit and the string lights made it feel like the field was ours alone — because it was.
We drove past the villas twice — they really do disappear into the field. Inside it is warm oak, soft linen and total quiet. The rain shower is a small luxury I did not expect.
Half an hour from Sofia and a different planet. Coffee on the deck at sunrise, dinner by the fire, and the mirrored wall turning gold at dusk. Booking direct was simple and commission-free.
Self check-in was seamless and the villa was spotless. Two of us, one glass room, a private garden — exactly as promised. We are already planning a winter stay.
Location
Out where the country opens up.
The villas sit on an open plot near the village of Vakarel, only 30 minutes from Sofia, with nothing between them and the horizon but open grass and the distant ridge of the mountains. There is a lake and a horse-riding base close by, and bikes at the villas for exploring the country lanes. Quiet enough to hear the grass; close enough to the city for everything else.
